• Hello all,
I am very inexperienced in all this so please be ‘playskool’ with me.
I have setup WP on my own Mac using OS X 10.3.7’s Apache, etc following MacZealot’s great tutorial. All seems fine except I am the only one who sees styled content on the page. Other network users who hit my network IP see unstyled text.
AFAIK, the css files’ mime-type is correct (served as text/css) and the path to the .css file is correct.
    Can anyone help me out?
    TIA
    Tom

  • Try to access the CSS file directly. It may have the wrong permissions.

    Permissions are rw-r-r.

It’s likely not the CHMOD permissions, rather it is a network permission issue. The location of the CSS files is probably in a spot that is not accessible because the necessary network permissions have not been set.

How would I go about setting these network permissions correctly?

Are you running version 1.2.1? There was a flaw with the wp-login.php that made it possible for “evil people” to make the siteurl option stored in the database to be changed. I experienced this and had to update the address in the general options section. (Did upgrade to 1.2.2, since this is been fixed there)
