Users only “see” own posts

Hi

I am creating a WordPress install for a HighSchool to use as an online store of student work (sort of e-portfolio). The main reason is the use of multiple TAGs to refer to work.

I can not for the life of me find anyway to restrict users (say Authors) to only read their own posts, both in the blog and in the Dashboard.

Is there a plug-in (have tried Role Scoper and others) that will achieve this?

As a dirty solution — forcing all posts to be “private” would do what I want….
