here are the messages from today with one user having problems I think it was more user error. BUT I did notice yesterday when I uploaded a few images when submitted the page went blank without any remark or anything saying they were received and few others have said the same thing.
Here is the conversation between the member and the image chairman from today Maybe you can figure out what is happening

This is crazy, I went back in to check my images that I submitted and discovered a couple a bit noisy so I opted to make changes. I made the changes and now I am unable to upload, I get that same flag again, this time telling me to refresh the page and upload again, but it doesn’t work. I have deleted the original image the area is clear and I can’t put anything in it.

I just reloaded again for the third time and it went through. I made no changes to the submission. It seems to be a software problem as you suggest.
