users not seeing they uploads

  • Hi Josie

    I have the same page for the clubs uploads for the year setup back in October and when users upload the images and click submit it uploads and then shows their images. I have not changed the page at all.

    Now when they upload and hit submit their mages they are uploaded but do not show then until they go back in and reload the page.

    The only thing different is an update of entry wizard done a few weeks back. \has this been changed some how ?

    I keep getting asked if their images have been entered and I have to tell them to go back in and click the upload page and they should see their images .

    I haven’t seen or heard of anyone getting any such effect, and certainly did not intend it.

    What exactly do the users see after uploading?

    here are the messages from today with one user having problems I think it was more user error. BUT I did notice yesterday when I uploaded a few images when submitted the page went blank without any remark or anything saying they were received and few others have said the same thing.

    Here is the conversation between the member and the image chairman from today Maybe you can figure out what is happening

I feel mine has gone through now ok, but it would be nice to be sure. I hope others don’t have this problem, particularly if they are not computer savvy.

This is crazy, I went back in to check my images that I submitted and discovered a couple a bit noisy so I opted to make changes.  I made the changes and now I am unable to upload, I get that same flag again, this time telling me to refresh the page and upload again, but it doesn’t work.  I have deleted the original image the area is clear and I can’t put anything in it.

I just reloaded again for the third time and it went through.  I made no changes to the submission. It seems to be a software problem as you suggest.

    I will have the main web master look into that I just look after the clinic setups and some forum areas. He has the access to the Cpanel

    Been doing some digging and removing different plugins and try an upload in EW and found a plugin that seems to be problematic called High Speed Cache when I deactivate it word press will show the uploaded files or changes. So I think this is the culprit, we have been using it for awhile with no problems, but with WP updates might have broke it

    A caching plugin is very likely to be the problem.

    Any caching is risky if you have different content for logged-in users — you may end up showing content for one user meant for another.
