    Hi everyone,

I’m running into this issue (and I have been running into it for a while now) that users are not able to log in. They click log in, they’re taken to the log in page — enter details, hit enter and then they’re taken back to my homepage. They weren’t logged in and nothing happens. They try enough times and they’re stuck outside. They’re not able to access the inner dashboard that I’ve created for them.

How do I fix this? I have no idea what’s causing it.

    Thanks,

    Parm

  • What kind of users are we talking about in terms of their roles? Are they administrators or editors?

Does it affect all users or just individual users?

You have at least visually customized the login page. Have you made any further adjustments to the login via plugins? Do you also have a security plugin in use that could interfere with this?

Do you have any anomalies under Tools > Site Health?

Do you have a user for whom this always happens? If so, could you try logging in with their login details while deactivating all plugins?

Hi @threadi, thank you for your detailed reply. I found the culprit. It was the Uncanny Owl plugin. I’ve disabled and replaced the functionality with other plugins.

And it was only subscribers and customer roles, this never happened to admins.

Let’s hope nothing breaks this time.

    Fingers crossed.

    Parm
