• Hi,

Within the multisite I have a specific issue on one site with the display of users on the users list. There must be 3 users assigned to the site, although the users listing says 3 items (in the top right above) the list is empty.
When I check the users on network level the users are visible in the list.
If I want to add a new user, the rule option setting is not working on this site.
This issue does not appear on the other sites within the network.

I deactivated all plugins and changed to the default wp template. But none of these changes made the issue disappear.

Try running a repair on your database. One site implies that something there (obviously) went corrupt.

    Hi,

I did a repair but no changes in WP users.

Do the users appear in /wp-admin/network/site-users.php?id=1 replacing the siteid with the correct one for the problem blog? If so, remove them from there and re-add. They’ll be missing some meta information in the DB that will be recreated when they are added again.

    Hi Ed,

The users do NOT appear. Although it states that there are 3 items.
The users are ONLY visible in network admin.

If I want to add a user in the affected site, I cannot select the role.
And the added user does not appear in this site, only the network admin.

How hard would it be to export and import the content to another blog, remove the original one and import it back again to re-create the entire blog?

Well this could be an option, I will do some research for this and let you know.
    Thanks!

3 items? You mean it says there are three users but no one shows up?

Yes, that is right they don’t show up!

    Hi Ed,

As you mentioned to export, delete the blog and import the data in a new blog this seems to be very tricky. As there a lot of plugins in this affected site so all settings will be lost. It would be a major job to get everything working again.

Yeah, that would be an issue. Best thing would be make another blog/site and copy all the settings across to it first then delete the old one and rename the new one in network admin. There might be a plugin somewhere that can replicate the blog with a couple of clicks, like Blog Templates plugin or something. You would be best doing it by hand though to make sure it wasn’t actually a plugin or setting that was causing it.
