User’s IP Address

  • Is there a plugin (or way) that will let me see my user’s IP address when they register or post on my blog or forum (Mingle Forum.) I don’t want the information to be public, just letting me see it. I think I have people putting paid postings on my site using different email addresses.

    As you can see, I’m not very tech savvy.

  • Hi BuzzBNC,

    By default, WordPress does capture the IP address of users leaving comments.

    Can you go to the WP Dashboard > Comments?

    Once there scroll down the list of comments. In the left-most column of the comments section, you should see the name, number of comments made, email address and IP address for each comment.

    Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.

    Yes, that shows comments on the website itself but not in the separate Mingle Forum.
