    Hi,

    I’m using Groups to control access and it’s working perfectly, however, I ran into an issue with users account.

    I use the shortcode [groups_group_info group=??xxx show=”users”] to display users of a group on a page.

    My groups contain an editor and a subscriber. I would like the publisher to access the subscriber’s account in order to reset his password.

    Do you have a free or paid solution to add this feature?

    Hi,

    Good question, unfortunately I can’t recommend any particular solution to this at the moment. Work is being done on providing more fine-grained access control with Groups and the case you ask for could be covered with it, but I can’t give you an ETA yet on when this would be available.

    The issue is that if you granted user editing WordPress capabilities to the publisher group, they would be able to modify any user account so that won’t do.

    Maybe you could work with a forms plugin like Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable Forms, Caldera Forms, … and create a page where a user can modify other user accounts and protect the page with Groups?
