Users from subsite showing in mainsite

  • How do I remove users/customers who are on a subsite from showing under mainsite users menu? I tried deleting a user in the mainsite but it also deletes in the subsite. I just want th emainsite to show users that came from the mainsite.

  • If you are talking about a multisite and your main site is the network’s site also then all the users will show up there in the users menu in the main site’s dashboard as that’s where the superadmin does all the site work including dealing with user tasks…

    As far as I know, there’s no workaround as the super admin needs somewhere to deal with users on the network.

    You can create a subsite using the previous main site’s domain but you’ll need a subdomain or a different domain name for the network itself.

    That’s a good bit of work to ‘migrate’ the public content to the new subsite and map the new domain or subdomain to the main site.

    The normal is exactly what you have right now.
