Users forced to create a new password every time they order

That is certainly not expected behavior.

What message do they see when they try to log in with the old password and username/email that they had previously used? Please send a screenshot of what they are seeing. I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply here.

Also, please send a screenshot of your current settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy.

Finally, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply. Please note that since this is a public forum, you may want to remove any sensitive information that you don’t want shared publicly.

For the users that are seeing this issue, do you see their user created correctly under Users > All Users? Also, are their orders correctly linked to their account, rather than appearing as “Guest” like in the screenshot below?
