Users editing own comments?

Sorry but I am confused. I have WP2, all up and running for a while now, it’s fab ?? But…

My users do not seem to be able to edit their own comments. Is this normal for WP2? I thought it would allow editing of comments ?? It has FAR more advanced features it would be a shame if this is missing.

The only way I have been able to get a user to edit comments at all is to set the capability of edit_others_posts in the roles section but this allows them to edit far too much.

Please can any wiser peeps shead any light on this.
