Users delete account & modify email

  • First, congratulations for this great plugin.

    Sorry for my question, because I am newbie.

    I create all the structure with UM. I create a new role called “usuari” linked with the subscriber wordpress role. All goes fine except for two things:

    When users edit profile, can not modify the email field. Return this message “This email is already linked to an existing account” (is not true).

    And the other issue is about the edit profile. The users do not find the option to delete the account (where is it?).

    The options for delete account by the users and edit profile are both enables.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hi @jasilvestre,

    Can you please check if the option “Editable primary email field in profile view” is enabled in Ultimate Member > Settings > Users? If not, kindly enable it and see if this will resolve the issue.

    I am getting the same error.

    I have the email field included in the profile form. When a user tries to edit their email address, they get this error message: “This email is already linked to an existing account”

    This happens for all users, for ANY email address, including unique non-existing emails.

    Help?
