• My members just reported not being able to upload photos to their profile. I went in as ADMIN and added a stock photo to a profile just to see if it would work and it did. Then the member sent me a real photo of themselves and I can not go back and take down the stock photo I added to replace it.

I decided to create a new profile to test it out as a general member. I was able to upload a photo but the profile shows a BLACK box instead of a photo on my screen while the WHO’S ONLINE extension shows the real photo. I can not go in and change the photo even as a member. SOmething is wrong. The upload photo button does not appear to allow me to change the photo as an admin or even as a member. Please help.

    Hi @p2tl,

Can you please do a conflict test on the theme first and then plugins and see if it is caused by a conflict. You can click the link for directions on the plugin/theme conflict test:

    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/96-how-to-do-a-plugin-theme-conflict-test

You can also see this doc for upload photo issues:

    Thanks.

I just completely deleted the WordPress install and reinstalled a fresh version 2 weeks ago.

I installed the plugins one by one.

My issue is- As an Admin, I can not change the photos on the profiles. Members are reporting that they can not upload photos. I can upload a photo as a member or as an admin but

    1) The photo uploaded is off centered and shows a black box instead of the photo.

    2. I can not change the photo at all once one has been uploaded. I used a fake photo just to test it and now I can’t change the photo.

I wish this wasn’t an issue. I just want to use the site and have my members enjoy.

If you use the default WP theme and the UM plugin ONLY, you should have the upload functionality working as prescribed. You could then ascertain if it was a theme or a plugin conflict.
