Users are showing as customer/member, not subscriber

Hi there

I have set up woocommerce and ultimate member, but whenever I buy a subscription ( here is a test product ) https://nrft.live-website.com/product/test/

I only get a confirmation email from paypal, and i show up as a customer and member, not a subscriber.

So the welcome email for subscribers isnt being sent either.

I know I have done something very obviously wrong. Any help would be really appreciated!
