• Hi, wordpress users have “Username” & “Name” & “Email”, eg.:

In the Acymailing widget, I can activate “Name”:

Then in the widget advanced options, i can activate user information when logged in:

So the set up seems ok.

But on the frontend, i see that wp “Username” (=vac) is initalized in the widget, which is imho wrong. I expect to see there really wp “Name” (=Václav Chaloupka):

    Hello,

It doesn’t show the WordPress user information, the name shown is the AcyMailing user name ??

Hi, many thanks for explanation, now it is clear.

Then “Display user information if logged in” is not the best wording, as it is a bit misleading.
In my original case (I dont generate subcribers from WP users automatically), and I thought that “register for newsletter” widget will pre-fill the WP user information (if user is logged in), so users do not have to type in again their email & name when registering as subscribers, as these are already known to WP (=from logged in WP user session).

After your explanation I see that my test WP user was already established as subcriber, hence the name/email displays in the widget.
Proper parameter naming would be “Display subscriber information if logged in”, but that is a minor (and can be tweak individually via custom label).

Appart from label naming – no other issue and ticket can be closed..

(and many thanks for your prompt reply and trully great product!)

You’re right, we actually saw it but decided not to rename the option name because it would reset the translation in all languages, and “user” was the previous title for the “Subscribers” menu.

I’ll see if we can rename it only in English
