Username not same as facebook username

    Really nice free plugin and good support too.

    I just tested it and it worked fine for me for I could login using facebook alright, but for the username it fetched the Name of the facebook profile.

    For example, if the username at facebook account is abcdef and the Name at facebook profile is Abc Def then it creates an account on a wordpress site with username Abc Def which ofcourse doesn’t validate when user tries to use it to login to the site using automatically created account.

    Could this be resolved?

    The new release is out, but it doesn’t seem to have the issue mentioned above fixed.

    Any chance it would be fixed anytime soon?

    In my opinion this is a serious issue for those who allow users to view their profile as they would see their username as the “Name” in their facebook profile which would just not allow them to login using the auto generated username.

    we have checked again and your suggested type of username working.
    for your info we sanitize the username before use. it’s working fine on our end.

    Are you saying that automatically generated wordpress username when a user logs in using your plugin is same as his username on facebook?

    I am sorry to say that but its just not working.

    Like mentioned above, is I have a profile that has username myusername and my name on facebook profile is My Name, the automatically generated profile creates My Name as my username on my wordpress site.

    I don’t think everybody would want Name of a user used as username, not to mention a space between first and last name in the username.

    Second, it is just not logging in using auto generated username and password(used for facebook log in).

    Please let me know in case I am missing something here.

    Could you tell me the site where you tested this case and found it working?

    Hi,
    don’t use facebook login password. for password you need to use forgot password or try to change in your profile. and then try to use your profile username and password.
