%username% no longer working

Hi.
Since the Update to Sidebar Login 2.6 the tag %username% is no longer providing the loginname, to use it in a link like:
https://www.domain.com/community-users/%username%/profile/
After the update, it provides the display_name and not the login-name, so the link becomes 404.
If anybody has any idea how to fix this, thanks …
