username contains Chinese, no one else can access the user’s profile

As far as i know, WP does not support non-latin characters in usernames, and neither does PeepSo. In our tests, it’s impossible to type Chinese in registration (PeepSo and WordPress) or when editing the username in PeepSo UI.

Please send us a support ticket, as we’d like to know how Chinese characters made it into usernames despite being unsupported.

@jaworskimatt Many people in the Chinese community have the need to use Chinese user names. There are many ways to log in with Chinese user names on the Internet. Most people do what this article says: https://www.ludou.org/wordpress-allowing-chinese-in-registration-2.html
However, my site does not adopt this approach, and I use “Restrict Usernames Emails Characters” Plug-in, this plug-in allows you to use a certain language (Arabic, Cyrillic, Latin…) or all languages and characters and symbols including Chinese.

@jaworskimatt Thank you, handsome boy. I solved it. I just found a “pinyin slugs” plug-in, which can automatically convert Chinese links into pinyin links, which also ensures that Chinese user name registration can be supported. I am really happy.
