Username and P/W not requested

    I have a two-stage login for my site, the first supplied by the host of the site and the second of course, from WordPress to access my Admin.

    The first one always works but suddenly this morning when I accessed wp-admin, the host level kicked in but not the WordPress!!!!

    I cleared cookies, emptied the cache, quit Firefox, restarted it, host level protection kicked but not WordPress’s! I’m concerned. Any ideas?

    I’m using Firefox 51.0.1 and os x 10.12.3

    Independent of any host level controls, WordPress software will not permit anyone to access your dashboard unless the cookie is set to indicate they did successfully log in.

    Have you tried basic troubleshooting? Try using Safari to access your site’s dashboard. Make sure that your cookies and cache are all cleared first before trying that.
