• Hi All,

My client would like to have username and password protected areas of their site for their clients to access files for download. Specifically, they want each client to enter their username and password into a form in the header and then be redirected to their own page or area of the site.

I understand that one can password protect individual pages in WordPress – initially I suggested they just go to a client page where each of the clients would be listed with their name being a link to their password-protected page (https://www.abeldesign.com/amtech/client-area/).

However, since some of their clients are suing other of their clients they do not wish for obvious reasons for these clients to know about each other. I have tried looking for a plugin to enable what I want, but to no avail, and I’m SO not a PHP coder so have no idea how to do it myself.

Any advice would be very gratefully received.

    Cheers!

    Rik Abel

  • The Role Scoper Plugin can probably help you with that. You can create specific groups, restrict them to see certain posts/pages and more. Its probably some work but I guess that can solve your problem.
