{user_email} in email subject not working in v2.x

I used the 1. version of UM until recently. I had configured it to send me an email notification for each member registration with the member’s email address in the subject line like “New user registration [{user_email}]” resulting in “New user registration [[email protected]]”.

Since I updated to v2 the subject of the sent emails just shows the string, literally writing user_email in accolades. Is this a bug or a discontinued feature?
