    Hi There,

Our shop is filled mainly with digital downloads – audios, videos, publications etc.

What I want to know, is whether it’s possible in WooCommerce, whether natively or via a plugin, for a user who’s made a previous purchase of an item in the shop, but either lost or deleted their download accidentaly, to be able to go into a personal account page for example and see previous downloads/purchases from the shop so that they can then re-download any of the products that they had previously purchased (and that obviously would be set to unlimited downloads in the settings)?

I’ve tried searching online but I’m not having any luck finding anything to answer this question. Would appreciate some guidance on this if someone out there knows something.

    Thanks

    Hi @millo_magno ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

WooCommerce has a built-in setting that allows admins the option to make downloadable products re-downloadable, or limited for their customers. If there is no limit set, then the customer would be able to re-download the item.

This can be done within your Product settings as seen in the screenshot below:

It’s OK, I’ve figure it out. I can see that if I go to ‘https://www.mywebsite.com/my-account/ then it will display account details including orders and downloads. However what I don’t understand is how come the ‘My Account’ link doesn’t appear anywhere for users to click on?

    Hi @millo_magno,

I’m glad you figured it out!

However what I don’t understand is how come the ‘My Account’ link doesn’t appear anywhere for users to click on?

“My account” is a page, so you can add it in a menu or a top bar, depending on your theme.

Get to know more about My Account page here:

    I hope this information helps.

    Hi Sergio,

Thanks for the response. So it’s been quite easy to add it to the main menu, but I’m wondering what it would take to insert into the top bar or somewhere else?

    Hi @millo_magno ,

I’m wondering what it would take to insert into the top bar or somewhere else?

As @csnlima mentioned, these customizations are dependent on the theme you are using however, you could check if you have the Top bar option available within Customizer > Header > Top bar

If that option is available as a theme-based setting, ensure that you have created a secondary menu that can be selected from within the customizer: Appearance > Menus > Select a menu to edit (select secondary) > Add the My Account page to the menu, and be sure you select Top bar menu before saving.

Let us know how this goes.

    Hi @millo_magno
