User URL – removing the automatic http that is entered

  • Hello,
    I am trying to find a way to remove the automatic https:// that WP enters whenever you modify a User that doesn’t have a domain name.

    I’m trying to display a URL for web sites but it often displays just “https://” and it wouldn’t display it if that were not entered.

    The trouble is that every time a user modifies their profile it adds it again.

    I’ve been going into phpmyadmin meanwhile and just removing the https:// from the database, but that gets old after a while.
