User unsubscribed from audience when they check-out

    I bumped into this problem which more users are facing.
    This is what is happening:

    test1@domain and test2@domain added as subscribers in Mailchimp Audience
    test1@domain and test2@domain are registered in woocommerce as users
    test1@domain is manually set as subscriber in woocommerce (user detail page, in the bottom part there is a checkbox set there by the plugin)
    test2@domain is not subscriber in woocommerce
    test1 made a purchase not checkin the newsletter box
    test2 made a purchase not checkin the newsletter box
    test2 is NO LONGER SUBSCRIBER!

    This should definitely not happen, right?
    Since I got over 1k of only transactional users which where subscribers in the first place.

    Let me know what can I tell you to debug it better.

    – plugin 2.7.5
    – Caching plugins active: Wp Rocket
    – Order where the customer had accepted marketing at checkout: 23695
    – The customer in question has an account with the store
    – debug activated
    – site: https://www.morsoworld.com/

    In this case this subscribed user remains subscribed.

    The transaction where a subscribed user is unsubscribed and set to transactional only is #23692
    This user has an account in the store too (the problems doesn’t appear to happen with guest users).

    Hi @biancaakanaonda, thanks for the additional information. Could you please enable Remote Diagnostics from the store’s Settings tab so we can look into that order a little closer?

    It is enabled (I wrote debug, but I meant the remote diagnostic, sorry)

    Hi @biancaakanaonda, I was able to pull your store up but it doesn’t appear that an Audience is connected to morsoworld.com. If you can confirm or reinstall the plugin with an Audience selected we’ll be glad to troubleshoot further.

    you are right: it was disconnected indeed. Can’t say why, actually…
    It is on now and I guess is syncing again -.-

    Hi @khungate,
    I found that something has gone wrond during the initial sync, so my subscribers in MailC where not checked as subscribed in their profile in WooC

    Also, my subscribers in MC who checked out as guests (so, with no profile in Woo) had no mailchimp_woocommerce_is_subscribed =1 in their orders

    Long story short:
    I was able to gather a list of their address (more than 1k)
    I cannot resubscribe them in MailC (is forbidden)
    I badly need them back
    –> So I’m doing this:
    1. for user with profile: I’m adding the check manually
    2. for users with no probiule, I’m adding mailchimp_woocommerce_is_subscribed=1 in additional fields manually

    This way seems that the are synced to the audience.

    Is the only way I found since I’m in hurry.

    Was an update this morninr with 2.7.6 version of the plugin, some fix was in the release note but I guess was not backward.. so..

    If is there any better suggesion you can share, please do ??
