    I’m not totally sure 3.0.1 is the correct version, but I recently downloaded a new update for wordpress and ever since i did, the option to add new user or manage authors’ information has dissapeard. I am stumped. There used to be an option in the column on the left that allowed you to click “new user” or “add user” or something and now there is nothing. All i want to do is add a new author and i can’t.

    If there is anyone who can help, I’d really appreciate it.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?
