• Hello,

    This is my scenario.
I have several WordPress installations, which are all multisites in nature, which in turn form, WordPress Networks. Main installation is “parent.com”

Installation one is Africa, a multisite which is ‘parent.com/africa,’ and has ‘parent.com/africa/site1,’ ‘parent.com/parent.africa/site2,’ ‘parent.com/africa/site3,’ ‘parent.com/africa/site4,’ and so on..

Installation Two is America, also a multisite which is ‘parent.com/america,’ and has ‘parent.com/america/site1,’ ‘parent.com/america/site2,’ ‘parent.com/america/site3,’ ‘parent.com/america/site4,’ and so on..

Installation Three is Asia, also a multisite which is ‘parent.com/asia,’ ‘parent.com/asia/site1,’ ‘parent.com/asia/site2,’ ‘parent.com/asia/site3,’ ‘parent.com/asia/site4,’ and so on..

All main network sites, “parent.com/africa,” “parent.com/america,” and “parent.com/asia” are connected and being controlled from Parent Site; “parent.com” (theme, plugin and user management)

Now, on ‘user management’ is where I’m having a bit of a challenge.
When a user visits “parent.com/america” or any of America’s child sites, they synchronized and do no need to login.

but when the same user visits jumps from ‘America’ to ‘Africa,’ they are no longer recognized. They have need to register, that’s when they can login.

I would like the user to be able to sign in, without multiple ‘registrations,’ just as we do on ‘www.remarpro.com,’ ‘buddypress.org,’ ‘bbpress.org,’ and ‘wordcamp.org,’

Anyone know of free plugin that can synchronize users on separate WordPress installs??

    Many Thanks..

  • hello,
i am also using same pattern and i need answer too,
but one thing i want to ask how r u controlling all site with seprate

my main site and all wp installed subdomains are in individual subdirectory.

    @prakharmonga,
    I’m only controlling “network sites”

All main network sites, “parent.com/africa,” “parent.com/america,” and “parent.com/asia” are connected and being controlled from Parent Site; “parent.com” (theme, plugin and user management)

and I’m using this plugin. I can easily install specific required plugins & themes for that specific network only, by accessing the “network site dashboard” from the “parent.com” site..

    Now the challenge is, users..

The only method of sharing users is CUSTOM_USER_TABLE and CUSTOM_USER_META_TABLE but the WP instances have to use the same database; but using different table prefix.

OP – If I had to do what you are doing, I would have tried to do it all under one WP multisite instance using the WP Multi Network plugin

    ok,
i am having multiple wp install with multiple database
can i shift my data from there to one wp multinetwork install
how difficult it is to achieve?
how many network this plugin can handle
100,200 or more any idea if you can give me.
