User Switching from customer to admin by IP ?

    Hi dear support,

    thank you for your great plug-in.

    We use the plug-in to make orders from customer which order by phone.

    The problem is: When we take the customer XY role , we cannot switch back to the admin account.
    When we grant all customers the right to switch accounts, normal customers would have the right to switch to an admin account.

    Is there a possibility to grant user switching by IP adress or any other possibility we could solve this problem?

    What’s the reason you can’t switch back from the customer account? In addition to the admin toolbar, which is presumably hidden for customers, there’s a Switch Back button in a few places:

    * The login screen (at wp-login.php)
    * The “Meta” sidebar widget
    * The footer of the page, but this can sometimes be obscured by the styles in your theme

    * The login screen (at wp-login.php) –> I dont see it, can you show me a screenshot where I see it, maybe I am blind? For me it looks like that

    The meta sidebar widget is not active in wordpress anymore? See:

    Yes I am pretty sure we changed the footer so much in that way that the switch back link is not there anymore

    As your site is so heavily customised there’s not really much I can help with. The standard WordPress login screen will show a “Switch back” link, but your site is using a custom login screen.

    The “Switch back” link should be in the footer but it may just be hidden. I suggest you ask your developer to take a look through the User Switching FAQ as there are a few options there for adding switching links yourself.
