    Hello,
I write to ask about a behavior I don’t understand.
I use Mailpoet to send an ebook to users who give me their email.
Users are subscribed to a list. There is only one list.
I think that, if there is just one list or an user wants to unsubscribe from all the lists, users that unsubscribe should be deleted from DB as well. It is not compliant to the (Italian, at least) law to retain data against user’s will, and if they unsubscribe, it is pretty clear they do not want me to have their email.
If a user unsubscribes, they unsubscribe from that list, but they are still listed in the database. If they subscribe again, they see the message that tells them to check their email, but they don’t receive anything.
An user should be deleted from the DB if they are not subscribed to any list.
    Please help ??

  • Hi,

When a user unsubscribes in MailPoet, they will be kept in the database as “unsubscribed.” If you want to remove them completely, you’ll need to manually delete them from the Subscribers page.

    Thanks!
I suggest to implement a feature: a checkbox to mark if you want a user to be totally deleted from DB after unsubscribing.
