I have a Shop Manager user. I need him to manage the galleries. If i set “Editor” (is this applicable?) or even “Shop Manager” in the settings as Gallery creator role (i have “inherit” option set in Album creator), that user still does not see anything (even no item in the menu)..

Also at this point even the Administrator user does not see the galleries, only settings..

    Adding more info:
if I put “Shop manager” to settings – the Shop Manager does not see anything, the Administrator can see the options, but not the galleries.
If i put “Editor” to settings – the Shop Manager still does not see anything, the Administrator can see everything, including galleries.

  • Same case here.

For administrators, Foogallery Menu shows complete. For editors, Galleries / Add New Gallery does not show.

    Hi @mrtvykenny and @mrtvykenny

First, the gallery roles are inherited. This means that if, for example, you set the gallery creator role to Editor, any user with a user role higher than the editor will be able to access the created galleries and add a new gallery if they want to.

Secondly, when the gallery creator role is set to “Editor”, the “Add New Gallery” option is available as shown in this image from a site where the creator role is set to “Editor”: https://prnt.sc/sN8io1uWJGpM

Kindly ensure that you are using the latest version of FooGallery (Version 2.4.22) if you are not seeing this.

    Thanks.

I understand, however where does the Shop Manager role used in Woocommmerce stand then?
Because as i wrote – I have a user with Shop Manager role and I am unable to set it properly and if I set something “lower” – Editor for example, that user does not see the menu.
If i set it exactly – so Shop Manager – that user still does not see the menu & my Administrator does not see any galleries, which should be impossible I guess..

So on screen you can see what my Administrator sees with “Shop Manager” role set up for the Gallery creator.. So no galleries and possibility to create.
And the Shop Manager user does not have the menu at all..

Hi, now it works ok, the Shop Manager can see the galleries and create new.
The settings are available only for the Administrator, who also can see the galleries now, so in this scope it is fixed..

Not sure how I would set it up if I needed both Editors and Shop Manager to be able to create galleries (seems like the Woocommerce Shop Manager and WordPress default roles are not aligned hierarchically somehow), but for my case this is fine, thank you very much! ??
