I use members to create a new role “shop manager” to manage orders. They should be able to create new orders in the wendellestate.ca estore backend (under woo/orders), but when they try, they each get an error message “Sorry you are not allowed to access this page”. I have double-checked and they do have permission under orders to “publish orders”. Why can’t they publish orders/create new orders and how to fix this? Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jeremywendell

To allow users manage orders you will need to grant them “Orders: Edit”, “Orders: Edit Others”, “Orders: Edit Published”, and “Orders: Publish” capabilities.

Thank you Caseproof, I have checked and those permissions are all currently granted, yet they cannot create new orders. I have a screencap, but do not have a URL. Can i not simply either paste it here or attach an image file?

This has definitely not been resolved. All the mentioned permissions have been granted from the start. I cannot add a screencap to show that Members is definitely NOT working. Please advise how i can allow “Shop Manager” role to create new orders. The above did in no way resolve the issue. Thanks

Having the same issue. Has this been resolved?

TBH i’m not sure. The users having this difficulty very seldom have to create new orders. I haven’t heard any reports that it isn’t working since i posted this, but am unsure if any new orders were created by shop managers in that interval.

Ironically after looking for a solution for over a month I revisited my permissions plugin. The shop manager didn’t have persmission to post “new posts”. I changed that and now it’s working.

Thanks for the update. I did the same thing on advice of somebody else (yeah, agree, default seems a bit odd) and that may well have solved our issue as well.
