user roles’ count cannot be modified/cleared

  • Did you try a plugin that allows managing these with a graphical interface? I usually use this and it’s always worked great:

    You can always manually remove the roles in the database too, if need be. A quick search will tell you what tables to look for.

    ..so you are suggesting that both methods are safe, and that re-assigning roles would just reset the counting… I shall update you

    I have used your suggested plugin and have cleared those users’ counts. But I have noticed a completely random allow/not-allow assignment to my users, which is impossible, since they have all been imported with only one role assigned.
    Another question about this plugin: if I set users’ capabilities, will they remain so once I uninstall it?
