• Hi, i’m using UM 2.0, i add “user role dropdown” to my regsiter form, but when I edit the list of roles, the registration no longer takes into account the role.

But when I do not change the list to display, whether with the radio or the drop-down list, it works.

What can I do to solve this problem? Because I do not want to display the roles as “administrator” or “editor”

    Thanks for all !

    Hi @mamkong,

Have you tried to delete and then add “User role” field so it can be updated with the newly added user roles?

    Regards.

hello, thank you for your answer.

I would like visitors to choose between “architect” or “partner” as the user role.

    Although I have more.

    Thanks

    up …

please anyone can help me… it’s really urgent …

    Thanks

I’ve encountered this issue in 2.0 as well.

Noticed a few issues to help troubleshooting for the Ultimate Member support team.

    1. The default user “Subscriber” needs to be listed in the Edit Choices list. If not, it will break when a user selects a role. The role will be added as “none” or “subscriber”.

    2. If you edit the order of the list at all. The default order is still provided to the user, not the reordered list.

I attempted to duplicate Roles Dropdown after I edited the list, it created a separate meta key: role_select_33. But this didn’t work either.

@mamkong, I assume you haven’t figured out a work around yet?

    Hi,

I have to show only two “roles” and they are “Architect” and “Partners” so i could not show “Subscriber” or anything else.

Is there any other solution ?

    Thanks for your reply ??
