Hope you mean, that I have to do this in the plugin settings and it will be applied to all products.

Not it the settings, it’s a feature and yes the list will contain all products in your store if you want or only a subset if you choose to. You can read more about lists here https://discountsuiteforwp.com/tutorials/create-your-first-product-list/

Installed the plugin as suggested in the above links.
Now when logged in the SALE badge is shown on all products.
Of course all of them are discounted 5% when registered.
Is there any workaround for this.
