User registration without email confirmation

Hi,

I’m new to WordPress. I’m using it to build a personal blog.
I’m using a free web host which has the php mail() funtion disabled.
Is there a way/plugin which allows user to register and choose his own password without having wordpress to send him the pwd though email?

I’ve tried looking in the forum but to no avail. Tnx for your help.
