User Registration/ Hidden Content
-
I am probably going to make this sound a lot more complicated than it needs to be, my apologies in advance!
I have been trying to figure out how I can hide content for only registered users on my website. However, when they register I’d like to collect their e-mail for our magazine/newsletter (the whole reason to register in the first place).
We have been using a static page for our subscription page that signs people up for our referral program (Good Karma List Machine – sign 5 friends up get a free t-shirt: https://www.climberism.com/subscribe/signup.php). When they sign up they also sign up in aweber so we can send them the magazine and newsletter, GKLM and aweber are link and work togther.
The whole system works great except the “member” area. You can’t create your own password and accessing the magazine is a bit of a pain. That being said, I’d like to have users register through out website and use the wordpress platform (so they have have and easily accessed “member” area) but I’d like to keep the referral program (GKLM) and the aweber service so we can send out our e-mail once the magazine is ready.
Is there a way to do this and is there a way to store the magazine as hidden or only accessed from the dashboard area so registered users can access it?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!
