• I am having a few issues trying to figure out who has signed on for registering with website.
I have about 5 over the last day that said they never recieved an email, but after testing myself it seemed ok.
Its set up to send a verification link to the site then a return email with a password will be sent back.
Problem I have is I do not see any of these first registers, even if they do not approve the verification.
I do know they are somewhere because I tried to re-register under the same user name and it failed , said it was set to expire in 2 days and was reserved.
Is there any way to find out information about these emails or how many are in a verifcation address process ?

  • I have the same problem. But not even I receive the email in some hosts.

Is there any PHP directive that must be configured a certain way for this to be corrected?

Having your wordpress site being able to send emails is an issue of how the hosting is configured. Another issue is that many people have spam filters, and the very stylised welcome and verification emails could look very spammy.

Absolutely worth discussing with your web hosting support.

yeah, I already asked for help to them, but they says I need to say exactly configuration I need, for they can configure for me. And I don’t know which configuration they must to check.

    Any suggestions?

I loaded up a plugin called New user approve to see what is getting sent out. For emails from first registering of site.
There is emails getting sent out fine, from what I see.
I am getting an email telling me about a new register, BUT,
this for name reserve only. And puts it in a listing.. somewhere..
I go to pending users and see nothing. Here is a better definition.

1: New user registers on website.
a: Email gets send to user asking to verify the email address.
b: User clicks on link and it says on site “Your account is now active!” with a complex password and login displaying above the login area.
c: Once user clicks the link to the login area . first time. it sends a message to there email with the password and login information.
d: They can login with the information and everything is fine.

Now for the odd and difficult parts:
1: New user registers on website. (It sends an email to myself with the New user approve, just for verification and sends me a link asking if I want to approve the user. Even though when I click on the link I see NO pending users.)
a:Email gets send to user asking to verify the email address. (Once they click on the link to verify there address then there register shows up as pending no idea why.)
b: User clicks on link and it says on site “Your account is now active!” with a complex password and login displaying above the login area. (There account is not active until they actually login to website)
c: Once user clicks the link to the login area . first time. it sends a message to there email with the password and login information.(This part actually works ok)
d: They can login with the information and everything is fine. (They can once they verify email and also login)

Conclusion. I am not sure why first registers are not showing up anywhere on website. Pre- Email verify. I also use WP Security for a plugin. You would think that somewhere these should be or seen somewhere on backend.

    Nice suggestion! Thanks!

In my websites the users sing up by a theme form. This plugin will work this way?

Is my last post the normal path for a wordpress registeration?
I had a wordpress site then totally updated everything I do not remember the double verification.
If it is not a normal path I may have to look into it more
