user registration

ok im “code stupid” so ive been using a bunch of plug-ins to get everything i want thus-far. the problem im having is with the user registration part of the site im creating… i want there to be checkboxes and drop downs for certain sections of the user registration part and ive had nothing but issues finding the right plug in… does anyone know of a plug-in i could use that would help me with this or could someone help me with the code to get it to where i want it to be?
