User profile pages

  • Hey Im not sure quire sure where to post this but Im in the process of creating a personal website for myself and a few friends and I’d like to have a section of profiles for the various authors of the website with things like a picture of them and just a small paragraph or two. Does anyone know of any plugins that I can use to achieve this or some other way? What Im ideally looking to do is have something like this:

    Website Authors
    >List authors with an excerpt from their page and a thumbnail
    >>author’s page with the image and the full page’s content.

    Now I imagine the easiest way to do it would be to make a page and create subpages for each person but does anyone have any better ideas? Is it possible to extract an excerpt and image from a child page and display it on the parent page?

    Also would it be best to create posts for the authors profiles instead and use a specific authors only category?
