• I am using the User Permissions plugin (Ver. 0.8.4). On certain pages (and I have yet to find how those pages are different from others that do allow editing) I cannot access the editor from the dashboard while the plugin is activated. I can edit it just fine when User Permissions is deactivated.

    My url is https://www.rockyuforkformulas.com

    The message I get is as follows:
    “Fatal error: Call to a member function can_write() on a non-object in D:\hosting\member\rockyfork\site2\wp-content\plugins\user-permissions\user-permissions.php on line 78”

    Line 78 is as follows:
    “if ($permissions->can_write ($current_user) == false)”

    Since I can’t access the page in the editor, I can’t see the user permissions assigned to the page.

    Any suggestions on how to solve this riddle? By the way the author is no longer supporting this plugin.

    Well, as usual the response for support has been underwhelming, thanks.

    So, let’s try it again.

    Sorry, but bump. This is a frustrating problem.

    Still bumping!

    If the plugin isn’t working and the author is no longer supporting it, then I’d recommend that you disable the plugin.

    Gee, thanks! I never thought of that! </s>

    Get serious. The plugin does something I need rather badly and I want to see if anyone else has had this problem and if they’ve been able to fix it. I’m currently incapable of building a new one myself.

    It’s been my experience that if the post is on page 57 no one answers. Hence, the bump.

    Sorry if that bugs you.
