Hi, I’ve recently installed this plugin, and have expired all passwords so they should be updated. However after being sent a new password users are getting an error message above the login box that the password expired a minute ago and that means they can’t login (I should mention that as I had problems with my own admin login expiring, I temporarily disabled the plugin in between first use and having this problem). What can I do about these passwords not working?

    Hi abbersbolton,

Thank you for showing interest in our plugin.

We just released a new version of the plugin, hence before we start troubleshooting this issue can you please update to the latest version and let me know if the problem persists?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes I updated it yesterday and the problem does still persist. It locked me out of the admin account as soon as I pressed the button – and due to unrelated mail server issues I couldn’t log in there until I figured another way to change my password (which I have done).
I had thought that the first setting, expiring passwords after a length of time might have caused the problem (as I entered 6 months which I thought perhaps was not a valid time frame) but I’ve emptied that field and it still continues to say that password expired 1 minute ago.
    Hope you can help.
    Thanks.

Have sent that email, Subject: Re: User Passwords Expiring yesterday. Would appreciate any help possible.
    Thanks.

Having the same problem this morning.

Is there a fix in the pipeline?

    Hello Mark,

The other problem was happening because the plugin was running on WordPress multisite, which we do not support yet. Hence if you have this issue and your plugin is not running on multisite, please drop us an email so we can look into your issue and solve it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey guys. I have the same issue. Not running on WPMU though. Any other resolutions? Do you have specifics? I can take a look, or provide a patch if you can point me to anything you’ve learned so far.

I am also having this issue.

My site is WP latest (4.2).

This happens after I use the “reset all passwords” button on the config screen.

I too am having this issue.

    • WordPress 4.2.2
    • Single Site (i.e., NOT multi-site)
    • Occurred after using the “reset all passwords” button on the config screen

FYI: I received an email from WPWhiteSecurity informing me that they are no longer the owners of the plugin and it is now being maintained by Costin (wp.kytten).

I am getting the same error:

error: The password you entered expired 1 minute ago.

Has this been resolved? I am locked out of my webpage due to this. Please advise.

    Hello, everyone

Yes, indeed, I am now maintaining this plugin, but I was extremely busy lately and didn’t have the chance to look over these issues.

I plan an update next week that will implement the MultiSite feature and also fix all reported bugs.

    Regards,
    Costin

    Great Plugin!!!

I noticed that you put out an update yesterday and the problem that started this thread was supposed to be corrected.

I have a fresh install of WP 4.2.4 and version 0.11 of this plugin. The error still remains with the updated plugin.

Has this been resolved or is it still pending a fix?

    Hello, vanguardxm

I didn’t yet figure out what is causing this issue. Refreshing the page and clearing the cache might work.

Can you please try it and let me know?

    Thank you

    Regards,
    Costin

    Hi Costin!

    Thanks for replying!

I tried clearing the cache but no luck. The one minute expiration error remains…

    HELP!
