I purchased and installed (as per instructions on your site) the User Overview add on for SlimStats. It allows me to install and enter the license key, but then doesn’t show the user overview window in the Audience tab, or the name by the items in the Access Log.
    Hope you can help.

    Hi salsabunny,

nice nickname! This issue sometimes happens when old settings are still present in the database. Please go to Slimstat > Settings > Maintenance and click the NO PANIC button in order to reset them. This should make your new report appear under the Audience tab as expected.

    Thank you,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
Thanks for the support, the report does show up under the Audience tab now. However, the logins in the Access Log are not marked up with user names (as shown in the demo) – it is tracking the login, just not marking it up. I suspect the same issue may also be causing the user overview report to be blank, despite logging in with several users and browsing to a couple of pages each.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Please make sure to enable Track Registered Users under Slimstat > Settings > Filters (soon to be moved to the Tracker tab). I will update the add-on’s page to clarify these steps and avoid further confusion.

    Jason.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks, that was switched off so that has helped – I now get results on my live install! I think the ongoing issues on my dev site must be caused by the company VPN that protects it, so all good here now.

Many thanks for your time – much appreciated.

One more thing: for best accuracy, I would also recommend enabling Track Admin Pages (under the Basic tab), so that you can follow their whereabouts and then see when they log out. We are releasing an update to User Overview that increases the accuracy of this specific functionality by considering some rare special cases.

    Best,
    Jason
