User not registered

    Hello,
    Wordpress is not accepting my username or email address and password, and when I try to create a new password and enter my email address it is giving me this error “ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.” Which is confusing because it is most definitely registered to my email address.
    Any suggestions for how to sort this? I am the only admin and unsure how to alter anything without being able to login.
    I did attempt to change the domain this evening, but I didn’t get a chance to save it, so unsure why this would be happening. Any thoughts would be great – thinking I might need to build a new site.
    Sorry if this is reposting – I checked the forums and it seemed like related posts were out of date or not the same issue.

    Hi there!

    I know this is stating the obvious, but that error means that there is no user registered with email address. ?? It’s possible that you entered the email incorrectly and didn’t realize it. If you remember the correct email address, then you can reset the password using the lost password link form the wp-login.php page. If for whatever reason it won’t recognize any emails that you try, then you can look in the database and see what you entered (and even change it there if you’re careful).
