I’m using Post SMTP and Contact Form 7. I’m testing the form, but when I use my client’s email address as a recipient, the form won’t send and I get a red error that says “user not found”. I can use my email address as the recipient and the form works, and also my client’s other email address, but not the address which is used for her WordPress account (although my email is also associated with my WordPress account).

WordPress also sends me an email that says:

Subject https://www.mydomain.ca: Post SMTP email error
You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.
    For the domain: https://www.mydomain.ca
The log to paste when you open a support issue:
    User not found

    Thanks!

Can you post the results of the diagnostic test?

I’d double check your settings for the account you are using to send mail.
Are there any further error messages in the transcript that point to which account?

The plugin shows the mail server response.

Contact your mail service provider support and ask them, maybe you typed the credentials the wrong way.
