User not being redirected to custom URL

  • I have set a redirect URL option in both the Forms and User Roles inside Ultimate member, but these settings appear to be completely ignored. I’ve made sure to click on Update Role once I’d made the changes. I’ve cleared all caches and temp files and the URL redirection after login or after registration for any role is just not working at all.

    i suggest excluding all Ultimate member pages from caching e.g:

    /user
    /register
    /login
    /account
    /members
    /logout
    /password-reset

    also i would recommend you turn off the user cache if you want UM to work correctly.

    @darkfreaks How would I exclude the Ultimate Member pages from all caching? I have the following:

    Browser cache
    Cache from Autoptimize plugin (I don’t have any exclusion settings)
    Performance – Total Cache (not sure if this is part of Ultimate Member, but I don’t know how to exclude pages)

    Hi @shawnmandel,

    Can you please try to purge your cache and Autoptimize optimizations, disable all plugins except Ultimate member, switch to the default theme e.g. twenty eighteen and see if this issue goes away.

    Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    pro-tip for autoptimize debugging; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

    if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.
