“user” not adaptable / customizable

    I have a new wordpress site with two users. The administrator and subscriber. The subscriber is the result of an import action of old posts from an other site. So far oké. But, as administrator, I can not change the “role” of the subscriber and make him by example an author .

    Have you tried making the actions directly via WP-CLI? What error are you encountering?

    I use the user management in the standard wp-admin dashboard. There is no action. When I change “role” from “subscriber” to “author” and click on “submit”, no change is happening ….

    Maybe the problem is : the two users have the same emailadres … WordPress don’t like it …..
