• I set up a WordPress site for a client and then they hired a marketing person to work on their site for them.

They contacted me today to say no one could login. I tried and had the same experience.

I tried the “Forgot your password?” option but it told me that my user name and email address was not registered.

I looked at the DB and everyone’s usernames and email addresses, passwords, etc… are there.

Anyone have any ideas what might be happening here and what I need to do to fix it?

    Thanks so much!

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress.
