User Name

  • I need to change my user name. It is currently admin and I see a message next to the login telling me user names cannot be changed.
    How can I get around this?

  • Login to WP-admin

    Then go to Users and create a new user with administrator access.

    Then logout and log in once more with your new account.

    At that you should be able to remove the default admin account and associated existing content to your new user.

    Create a new user (you with your new name). Give the new user admin privileges. Delete the old user.
