This is a strange one to me. Running latest code, multisite, one user logged in as site admin makes a post and when the post is saved, div id are removed. I log in as network admin and save post and the post id’s remain. Has this happened to someone else before? any suggestions?

Yep, it’s becuase you’re a Network Admin and have super powers.

Normal Admins are limited in what they can add to posts, and, alas, a Div ID is going to be one of them.

I would suggest turning that code into a shortcode they can use, as the only other option is an unfiltered multisite, and that’s very risky, especially on an open site where anyone can regsister.

we are using wordpress as a cms not like a blog so the login’s are limited, what do you mean by an unfiltered multisite, sounds like what i need. thanks for the help.

There’s a plugin called “Unfiltered MU” which will allow your site admins to post anything.

If you have an open site where anyone can register, DO NOT USE THIS PLUGIN

That warning wasn’t for you, Rob, but for the other people who may think this is a good idea. It’s dangerous, and I wouldn’t use it unless I trusted my users with my car.

if the other user is my wife and i do not trust her with my car should i still use the plugin? just kidding, thanks for the help!
