i have not allow free registration on my site, visitors can access some free content and if they want to access all content they have to register first, for registration, currently i have process like on registration page they choose paid subscription plane -> fill the registration form ->choose payment method to pay and after payment they can login.

but, the problem is that when user choose plan and fill the registration form, they logged in automatically before paying for plane, the pay for subscription option displayed after loggedin.

I want that user can login after paying for subscription plan.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi @vijay.metatagg,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I’m afraid currently the plugin doesn’t support this type of functionality.

Please advise if you have more questions.

    Cheers,

Hi, I think Vijay is issuing something I am issuing too.

For example, in my case if I want to register I enter fake users info click on the paypal subscription button (so I leave my website and go to paypal) BUT if I decide to go back to my website without paying on paypal I discover that I am logged and my account is created.

Is it normal ? Is there no way to create the account exclusively when the user have paid ?

    Hi @jeff75,

That is the default registration process in Membership plugin and the plugin doesn’t have any option to change it.

A user account is registered before assigning a membership level to a member. That is because a user needs to be a member before the plugin can assign a membership level to them and in order for the payment gateway to be able to link to.

if you want to clear the failed signups, you can empty the wp_signups table in the DB using phpmyadmin

Hi WPMU DEV, thanks for your quick reply.
I am using other membership plugins for my tests (pie-register, s2member, etc.) and their ways to work are the same as below :

1/ The user creates his account (but it is hold / not activated).
2/ The user goes on Paypal.
3/ If paypal is successful then the account is activated. If not, it stays not activated.

It’s a shame than membership plugin doesn’t allow webmasters to resctrict only paying registration.

Hope this issue will be updated in next releases.

    Hi Jeff75,

When you have enabled Paypal, Pie-Register does not allow not-paying users to login to the Site. Please let me know if you have any issues with this?

    Thanks

    Hi all,

Hope you’re well today, currently membership uses a custom registration process and while it creates the user account, they can’t view any protected content, unless they’ve checked out and paid.

This would make a great addition though for a future release and I’ll add it as a feature request ??

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.
