User List

I am using Drupal with CiviCRM for this solution but want to switch to WordPress
Need to develop website with users registered in 2 roles: one of student and other of teacher: Students will fill forms with dropdown list of teachers and the teacher who is selected in the form will be notified via email when that form is submitted so teacher can check form entries to confirm the data student has entered. I can populate name of student with gravity forms, even keep it invisible but not able to create list of users with role of teacher. Although I have been able to add these custom roles as well.
