• Hello, I thought this would be pretty obvious, yet I havent even found a plugin that does this.
What I have in mind is a simple form one could include on top of the links page or in the sidebar, where users could submit a link (along with a title/description and optionaly their email address, along with a pulldown choice of the website’s link categories).
The submission would appear in the admin interface as an unpublished link. If the link is approved, it can simply get published, otherwise deleted.

Have I missed the plugin that does this?

  • I’m not sure it would be the most-used plugin of most sites, but unfortunately I haven’t come across a plugin that specifically does this.

You can customise some contact form plugins to have the information submitted to you by email perhaps, but an alternative (if you were more familiar with PHP etc.)might be to extend the functionality of a plugin such as TDO Mini Forms maybe?

The form aspect does seem easy enough, It was the automatical addition as an unpublished link that seemed more challenging. I find it odd that people wouldnt show much more interest. I get a few link exchange requests every month and thought this would come in handy especially for higher profile blogs.

I would purchase such a plugin in a minute. I have been looking for something like this for the last couple of weeks to integrate into my new website design @ wishfoundation.com If someone knows of such a plugin that works with the latest version of WPMU “without a glitch” please contact the admin on said site!

    Thank you.
